A Show for Neighbours

In 2022, while living in a neighbourhood in which residents stuck to their respective spaces, Rao conceived A Show for Neighbours as a way to invite her neighbours to cross over and come closer. The series presented a changing display of works between the main door and the storm door of her house, continuing her exploration of unexpected and unconventional project sites. The series reflects her ongoing reflections on intimacy and relationships, while broadening her consideration of the mobility and mutability of artworks through a liminal engagement with her home.
