In May 2024, before installing her BAR series in art spaces in New York City, Rao tested the first bar in her studio at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City. The menu included publications she developed during her 2024 residency at Center for Book Arts in New York and a beverage which the participatory audience could request to experience.
