Jars

These jars were mobile objects that were carried around in and shared with people on the go. As one of very few female students in the sculpture department at Baroda, Rao's work was regularly broken by her male peers. This work was made portable to navigate the tense and violent conditions.

The organ-like objects inside the jars made with pantyhose, cotton and metal were "pickled" in vinegar. The object on top on the jar was made with goat skin and black pepper.
