Created in 2026 as part of Rao's garment imprint, RUGA, Rag is a book-garment composed of a single page: a detachable towel secured with a button. Its function is determined by the wearer—it may serve as a kitchen towel, a hand towel, or be used to wipe oneself on a hot summer day. The garment body is made from naturally dyed, handspun, handwoven cotton sourced from West Bengal, while the detachable page-towel is crafted from handloom cotton woven in Tamil Nadu.
