Temporal Heap

Created during Rao's residency at the Bemis Center in 2025, this work measures time through liquid volume by using wine and cocktail glasses as molds, casting them in plaster, and placing them on a ceramic tray atop a cement pedestal. It connects to broader themes within her practice, including colonial history, service, and the production, distribution, and consumption of beverages.
