In 2020, artist Leslie Hickey interviewed Rao as a part of the residency The Human Way organized by multi-disciplinary curators Prem Krishnamurthy and Kalaija Mallery. This 3-month residency revolved around a critical reflection on Julia Cameron's book The Artist's Way.

 

Rao transformed this interview into a video work, with Rao pulling out circles containing names and words meaningful to her from her copy of The Artist’s Way throughout the conversation.
