During her residency at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (Omaha, Nebraska, 2025), Rao conducted a series of spatial studies to test relationships among her works toward exhibition configurations. The studies included the works Volume, Inflexions, Temporal Heap, Carapace, Portion, and Armour created during the residency.
